1 Who We Are

Faydemand.in ("Faydemand", "we", "us", "our") is a free online financial calculator and educational tools platform operated by an individual creator based in India. The platform is accessible at https://faydemand.in and its subpages.

For the purposes of the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP Act) and other applicable Indian data protection laws, Faydemand.in is the Data Fiduciary responsible for the personal data collected through this website.

2 Scope of This Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy applies to:

• All pages and subdomains of faydemand.in
• All calculators, comparison tools, blog articles, and smart tools on the platform
• Any communication you have with us via email or contact forms

This Policy does not apply to third-party websites linked from our platform. When you click on an external link, you are subject to the privacy policy of that third-party website. We encourage you to read the privacy policies of every website you visit.

By using Faydemand.in, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please discontinue use of the platform.

3 Information We Do Not Collect

We want to be explicitly transparent about what Faydemand.in does NOT do, because this is fundamental to how we've built the platform:

• No financial input data: We do not collect, transmit, store, or process any financial figures you enter into our calculators — including your salary, income, loan amounts, investment values, tax figures, asset values, or any other financial numbers.
• No account or registration: We do not require you to create an account, register, or log in to use any calculator or tool on the platform.
• No phone number: We do not ask for your mobile number for any purpose, including OTP verification.
• No Aadhaar, PAN, or government ID: We never request or collect your Aadhaar number, PAN, voter ID, passport number, or any other government-issued identification.
• No biometric data: We do not collect fingerprints, facial recognition data, or any other biometric information.
• No financial account credentials: We do not ask for bank account numbers, credit/debit card numbers, UPI IDs, net banking credentials, or brokerage account details.
• No location data: We do not request access to your device's GPS or precise location data.
• No advertising profiles: We do not build personal advertising profiles or use behavioural tracking for targeted advertising.
• No selling of data: We do not sell, rent, exchange, or otherwise transfer any user data to third parties for commercial purposes.

4 Information Collected Automatically

Like virtually all websites on the internet, our web servers and third-party analytics tools collect certain technical data automatically when you visit our site. This data is used solely to understand how the platform is being used and to improve it.

4.1 Server Log Data

Our web server automatically records standard log information when you access any page, including:

• Your IP address (may be truncated or anonymised)
• The date and time of your visit
• The specific pages and URLs you accessed
• The referring URL (the page you came from, if any)
• Your browser type and version
• Your operating system and device type
• The HTTP status code of the response

Server log data is retained for a maximum of 90 days for security monitoring and debugging purposes, after which it is automatically overwritten or deleted. We do not cross-reference server log data with personal identifiers.

4.2 Device and Browser Information

In some instances, analytics tools may collect information about the type of device, operating system, screen resolution, browser, and language preferences you use to access the site. This information is aggregated and is not used to identify individual users.

5 Calculator Input Data — Stays in Your Browser

This section deserves special attention because it is the most important privacy feature of Faydemand.in.

All financial calculators on our platform use client-side JavaScript only. This means:

• When you enter numbers into any Faydemand calculator, those numbers are processed entirely within your own browser on your own device.
• No calculator inputs (salary, loan amount, interest rate, investment value, tax figures, retirement goals, or any other financial data) are ever sent to our servers.
• Our servers have no technical capability to receive or log calculator inputs — there is no API endpoint, form POST, or AJAX call that transmits this data.
• When you close the browser tab or clear the page, any data you entered is gone — it is not saved to local storage, session storage, or any server-side database.

You can verify this independently: open your browser's developer tools (F12), go to the Network tab, and run any calculator on Faydemand. You will see that no network request is made carrying your financial inputs.

This architecture is intentional. We built it this way because we believe your financial information is deeply personal, and no tool should require you to hand it over to a server just to get an estimate.

6 Contact Form and Direct Email Communications

If you choose to contact us via our contact form at faydemand.in/contact or by emailing us directly at info.faydemand@gmail.com, we will collect:

• Your name (as provided by you)
• Your email address
• The subject and content of your message
• The date and time of your communication

Purpose: Solely to respond to your inquiry or feedback. We will not add you to any marketing list, share your contact details with third parties, or use your information for any purpose other than responding to your specific communication.

Retention: Contact form submissions and email correspondences are retained for up to 24 months to allow us to refer back to prior conversations in case of follow-up queries. You may request deletion at any time (see Section 16).

We will never: Send you unsolicited marketing emails, call you, or share your contact details with any third party based on a contact form submission.

7 Cookies and Similar Technologies

7.1 What Are Cookies

Cookies are small text files placed on your device by websites you visit. They are used for a range of purposes including remembering preferences, understanding usage patterns, and enabling certain features.

7.2 Cookies We Set

Faydemand.in itself sets only strictly necessary cookies required for basic website functionality. We do not set any first-party advertising or tracking cookies.

7.3 Third-Party Cookies

Third-party services we use may set their own cookies on your device:

• Google Analytics: Sets analytics cookies to collect aggregated, anonymised usage data (see Section 8). You can opt out using the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
• Google Fonts: When your browser loads fonts from Google's servers, Google may set cookies. You can prevent this by using a browser extension that blocks Google Fonts or by disabling third-party cookies in your browser.

7.4 How to Manage Cookies

You can control and/or delete cookies as you wish. You can delete all cookies that are already on your computer and you can set most browsers to prevent them from being placed. For instructions on how to do this, visit aboutcookies.org. Note that if you block all cookies, some features of websites may not work correctly.

8 Analytics Services

We use Google Analytics 4 (GA4) to understand how visitors interact with our platform in aggregate. This helps us improve calculator usability, identify popular content, and fix issues.

What Google Analytics collects on our behalf:

• Pages visited and navigation paths
• Time spent on pages
• Country or region of visitor (based on approximate IP geolocation)
• Device type (mobile, tablet, desktop)
• Browser and operating system
• Referring website or search engine
• New vs. returning visitor status

IP Anonymisation: We have enabled IP anonymisation in our Google Analytics configuration. The last octet of IP addresses is masked before any data is stored by Google.

What Google Analytics does NOT collect on our behalf: We have not configured any custom dimensions or events to capture calculator inputs, financial data, personal identifiers, or form field values.

Google Analytics data is processed by Google in accordance with their Privacy Policy and Terms of Service. For more information, visit Google's Privacy Policy.

9 Third-Party Services Used on This Platform

The following third-party services are integrated into Faydemand.in. Each has its own privacy policy and data practices:

• Google Fonts (fonts.googleapis.com): We use Sora and DM Sans typefaces loaded from Google's CDN. When your browser requests these fonts, your IP address is transmitted to Google. Google's privacy policy governs this data. As an alternative, you can use browser extensions to serve fonts locally.
• Chart.js (CDN): A JavaScript charting library loaded from jsDelivr CDN for rendering charts in calculators. jsDelivr may log access requests including your IP address. No financial data from our calculators is sent to jsDelivr. jsDelivr Privacy Policy.
• Material Symbols (fonts.gstatic.com): Icon font served by Google. Subject to Google's Privacy Policy.
• Google Analytics 4: As described in Section 8.

We do not use Facebook Pixel, advertising networks, affiliate tracking pixels, heatmap tools (e.g., Hotjar, Clarity), session recording tools, or any other invasive tracking technologies.

10 How We Use the Information We Collect

The limited information we do collect is used exclusively for the following purposes:

• Platform operation and maintenance: Diagnosing technical errors, monitoring server health, and ensuring the website is functioning correctly.
• Understanding usage patterns: Using anonymised, aggregated analytics data to understand which calculators are most used, which pages have high bounce rates, and how to improve the user experience.
• Responding to communications: Using contact form data to answer your questions, address your feedback, or resolve issues you report.
• Security monitoring: Reviewing server logs to detect and prevent malicious activity, DDoS attacks, spam, or other security threats.
• Legal compliance: Retaining records where required by applicable Indian law or to respond to valid legal processes.

We do not use any data for:

• Targeted or behavioural advertising
• Selling or licensing data to third parties
• Building personal profiles of individual users
• Remarketing or retargeting campaigns
• Automated individual decision-making that produces legal or similarly significant effects

11 Legal Basis for Processing Personal Data

11.1 Under the DPDP Act, 2023 (India)

Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, we process personal data on the following grounds:

• Consent: By using the platform and submitting a contact form, you provide consent to the processing described in this Policy.
• Legitimate Uses: Processing of server log data for security purposes and legal compliance where permitted under the Act.

11.2 Under the GDPR (EU/EEA/UK Users)

If you are located in the European Union, European Economic Area, or United Kingdom, we process your personal data under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) on the following legal bases:

• Legitimate Interests (Article 6(1)(f)): Processing server log data and aggregated analytics to operate, maintain, and secure the platform — where such processing is proportionate and does not override your fundamental rights.
• Consent (Article 6(1)(a)): For analytics cookies and Google Fonts — to the extent these require consent under ePrivacy rules. You may withdraw consent at any time by managing your browser's cookie settings.
• Contractual Necessity (Article 6(1)(b)): Processing contact form data to respond to your inquiry constitutes a pre-contractual measure.

12 Data Retention and Deletion

We retain personal data only for as long as necessary for the purposes described in this Policy, or as required by applicable law:

• Server logs: Automatically overwritten or deleted after 90 days.
• Contact form / email data: Retained for up to 24 months from last correspondence, then permanently deleted unless legal retention requirements apply.
• Google Analytics data: Retained for 14 months by default in our GA4 configuration, after which it is automatically deleted by Google.

You may request deletion of any personal data we hold about you at any time by emailing info.faydemand@gmail.com. We will process deletion requests within 30 days, subject to any legal obligations to retain certain records.

13 Data Sharing and Disclosure to Third Parties

We do not sell, trade, rent, or otherwise transfer your personal data to third parties for their commercial purposes. We may share limited data only in the following circumstances:

• Service providers: Third-party services that help us operate the platform (web hosting, CDN providers, analytics) receive only the minimum data necessary to provide their services and are contractually bound to protect it. See Section 9 for details.
• Legal requirements: We may disclose personal data if required to do so by a valid court order, subpoena, government directive, or other legally mandated process under Indian law or applicable international law. We will notify you of any such request unless legally prohibited from doing so.
• Protection of rights: We may disclose data to protect the rights, property, or safety of Faydemand.in, its users, or others — for example, to prevent fraud or respond to a security incident.
• Business transfer: In the unlikely event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of all or part of our assets, personal data may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will provide notice before your personal data is transferred and becomes subject to a different privacy policy.

14 International Transfers of Personal Data

Faydemand.in is operated from India. However, some of the third-party services we use (Google Analytics, Google Fonts, jsDelivr) may transfer and process data in countries outside India, including countries in the European Union and the United States.

To the extent that any personal data is transferred outside India, we take steps to ensure that adequate protections are in place in accordance with the DPDP Act, 2023 and, where applicable, the GDPR's requirements for international transfers (Standard Contractual Clauses or adequacy decisions).

15 Data Security Measures

We implement industry-standard technical and organisational security measures to protect the limited personal data we do hold:

• HTTPS/TLS encryption: All data transmitted between your browser and our server is encrypted using HTTPS with current TLS standards. Look for the padlock icon in your browser's address bar.
• Secure server configuration: Our server is configured following security best practices including regular patching, access controls, and firewall rules.
• Access control: Personal data held on our systems (primarily contact form data and server logs) is accessible only to authorised personnel and is not stored in publicly accessible directories.
• No centralised financial data store: Because calculator inputs never reach our servers, there is no centralised store of financial data that could be breached.
• Regular reviews: We periodically review our security practices and update them as necessary to address new threats.

Important limitation: Despite our best efforts, no method of transmission over the internet or method of electronic storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee the absolute security of data transmitted to or from our platform, particularly data in transit over networks outside our control. Any transmission is at your own risk.

16 Your Rights Under Indian Law (DPDP Act, 2023)

Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, as a Data Principal (the individual whose data is processed), you have the following rights with respect to personal data we hold about you:

• Right to Information: The right to obtain a summary of personal data held about you and how it has been processed.
• Right to Correction and Erasure: The right to request correction of inaccurate or incomplete personal data, and the right to request erasure of personal data that we no longer have lawful grounds to retain.
• Right to Grievance Redressal: The right to have grievances related to the exercise of your rights addressed in a timely manner (within 30 days of receipt of your complaint).
• Right to Nomination: The right to nominate an individual who may exercise your rights on your behalf in the event of your death or incapacitation.

You also have the right to file a complaint with the Data Protection Board of India (once constituted under the DPDP Act) if you believe your rights have been violated. More information will be available at the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology website: meity.gov.in.

17 Your Rights Under GDPR (EU, EEA, and UK Users)

If you are located in the European Union, European Economic Area, or United Kingdom, you have the following additional rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and, for UK users, the UK GDPR:

• Right of Access (Article 15): Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
• Right to Rectification (Article 16): Request correction of inaccurate personal data.
• Right to Erasure / "Right to be Forgotten" (Article 17): Request deletion of your personal data where there is no compelling reason for continued processing.
• Right to Restrict Processing (Article 18): Request that we restrict the processing of your personal data in certain circumstances.
• Right to Data Portability (Article 20): Receive your personal data in a structured, commonly used, machine-readable format where technically feasible.
• Right to Object (Article 21): Object to processing based on legitimate interests, including profiling.
• Right to Withdraw Consent: Where processing is based on consent, withdraw that consent at any time without affecting the lawfulness of prior processing.
• Right to Lodge a Complaint: Lodge a complaint with your local Data Protection Authority. In the EU, you can contact your national supervisory authority. In the UK, you can contact the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO).

To exercise GDPR rights, email info.faydemand@gmail.com with the subject "GDPR Rights Request." We will respond within 30 days (extendable to 60 days for complex requests with notice).

Note regarding adequacy: India is not currently recognised as an "adequate" country by the European Commission under Article 45 GDPR. However, given that we process minimal personal data and no financial inputs from EU users reach our servers, the practical privacy risk for EU visitors is very low.

18 Children's Privacy

Faydemand.in is a general-audience website designed primarily for adults making personal financial decisions. Our platform is not directed at children under the age of 18.

Under the DPDP Act, 2023, processing of personal data of children (persons under 18 years of age) requires verifiable parental consent. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 18. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has submitted personal information to us (e.g., via a contact form), please contact us immediately at info.faydemand@gmail.com and we will promptly delete such information.

The financial calculators on this platform (SIP, EMI, tax, etc.) may be used by students and young learners for educational purposes, but such use involves no collection of personal data since all calculations remain in the browser.

19 Data Breach Notification

In the event of a personal data breach that is likely to result in a high risk to your rights and freedoms, we will:

• Notify the Data Protection Board of India (once constituted) in accordance with the DPDP Act, 2023 timeframes.
• Notify affected individuals without undue delay where the breach is likely to result in significant harm to them.
• Take all reasonable steps to contain, mitigate, and remediate the breach.

Given our architecture (no financial data on servers, minimal personal data collected), the scope of any potential breach is inherently limited. However, we are committed to full transparency in the event any breach occurs.

20 Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, technology, legal requirements, or for other legitimate business reasons. When we make material changes, we will:

• Update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page.
• Post a notice on the Faydemand.in homepage or a prominent page for a reasonable period.

We encourage you to review this Privacy Policy periodically. Your continued use of Faydemand.in after the posting of changes constitutes your acceptance of those changes, to the extent permitted by applicable law.

If a material change would affect how we use data collected before the change, we will obtain fresh consent where required by applicable law.

In accordance with the Information Technology Act, 2000, the Information Technology (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules, 2021, and the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, the following Grievance Officer is designated to address privacy-related concerns:
